Tough days are inevitable so let us embrace our failures.

Today's writeup is not like my usual ones where I talk about productivity and How to be insanely good at managing time. This one is a little personal.
I want to take a minute to address how we have been feeling lately. If you were to ask me, How are you doing? There would be hesitation. I might take more than a few minutes to gather myself together before answering that I am OKAY (which may not sound so reassuring).
The current situation has taken a toll on all of us. I do want to be okay with the pandemic situation (but I am not). People say that "Acceptance is the key". At times that is not good enough. For the past two weeks, my routine has been fucked up. I have turned into a late sleeper and late riser again. The morning rituals and working out stopped effortlessly.
You might wonder why am I mentioning my failures? Because I want you to know that things are not right all the time and that is okay if they are not. These pitfalls happen with the best of us. There are days where each one of us is grappling to make it through (A tight hug for your tough days).

We must cut ourselves some slack and not run behind being productive all the time (Life is not all that). Instead of struggling to fight it, we should rather embrace it. By all means, vent if you have to. Sleep whenever you want to and do things that spark joy. (Even if that is binge-watching an entire season of some show on Netflix) Everyone deserves to have a cheat day/days.
But.. (Well, there is a but :p)
Just do not take too long because you have to get back to business. I do not want to encourage that we can keep messing up with our routine without acknowledgment. Sure, take your time with it but not so much that your messed-up routine turns into a new habit. After the honeymoon period is over. No excuses. No exceptions. No finding way around things - If anything were to go wrong - It is on YOU.
No one is coming to save you. We cannot have the luxury of running away or obliviously stay stuck in the old rut. We have something very particular that we want to achieve, aspirations we want to see come to life. These things do not happen on their own. We need to put in conscious efforts and work into it (we seldom forget this and get carried away).
Just because the conditions are not to our liking or we do not feel ready yet, does not mean we get a pass. It does not take courage to deal with obstacles. If we want to build momentum, we get the superpowers to create that for ourselves right now by getting up and getting started. We often forget the most basic way to deal with it is TO TAKE ACTION.
All we ever need is to say - Yes, Let's go!
I would like to close by quoting,
The phoenix must burn to emerge. - Janet Fitch
Are you ready to get to work?
See you next Monday. Until then Mask up, Stay Safe, and Stay Healthy.
P.S.: I am not sure if you needed this advice or whether you can relate to it. I guess I just needed this pep talk to get charged up. :)

You go girl!! We are all only humans after all. Thank you for penning down these thoughts.
It helped me realise chilling out is chill. 😁😁
Keep up! 😄
